I always do these simple things to any spinning reel before I fish with it, and it works really well - for me — Henry Gilbey

I will still keep a spinning reel for when I want to drop a bait to a certain depth since that is easy to measure by counting turns on the reel , but for all other finesse applications I will most likely be using this reel in the future
